Lil Wayne - Sorry 4 the Wait 2 (2015)
When this mixtape dropped, everyone was FREAKING THE FUCK OUT because there were so many Birdman and Cash Money disses on it, and then just shortly after, it was announced Lil Wayne was suing Birdman for a ton of shit. Lil Wayne was angry as shit, and it shows: Lil Wayne sounds the hungriest he has in fucking YEARS on this shit. There are some songs where he's just rapid-firing lyrics, sounding like he's back on his "6 Foot 7 Foot" shit, and curiously.. Kinda sounds like Young Thug at some points. Crazy. The first half of this mixtape is fire as shit, but then, unfortunately, it does drop off a bit as it goes on, because that seems to be a problem with every Lil Wayne mixtape: Being really front-loaded. Regardless, Lil Wayne's rapping on this mixtape is.. Fuck, dude, this might be my favorite release by him PURELY flow-wise. Some shit kicks ass, some shit sounds "eh", but it's overall a good tape, I say, and I say what I think. I think I say that, anyway.
