Caninus / Cattle Decapitation - Split EP (2005)
So how's 'bout that?! A split EP between the dog-fronted Caninus, and a band with a vocalist that JUST sounds inhuman. Hell, a casual listener may not even be able to tell the fuckin' difference between these bands vocally! Ah ah AHHHH!!!! "No Future" by Cattle Decapitation is easily the best song from their side of the EP, and as for the Caninus side.. It's a band with a novelty of being fronted by dogs, what the fuck do you expect? This split EP isn't the worst thing ever, and by that, I mean it's not these horrible shits I've been having ever since my friend Evan (I love you man) sent me three bags of hot Cheetos in the mail which I've been devouring like a dog with a decaying squirrel's body, but the EP is right in the middle of the road: You have Cattle Decapitation being just okay and some Caninus shit that is a little funny to listen to. I ain't even disappointed because I knew what I was getting into, but c'mon, guys, this is.. I dunno, animal-core to a degree, right? Next thing you know, the next Caninus release is going to be another split EP with a band that has a parrot for a vocalist.. Wait.. FUCK.
