Slipknot - Disasterpieces (2002)
Get it? Because it's supposed to be masterpi-.. Fuck it. Y'know, whatever, fuck it.
Normally I don't review live DVDs, but given the fact that this was later put out on CD as a live album, might as well, right? With this album, you get to experience something truly incredible: What happens when you take out the visuals of what was likely an awesome concert? A collection of all of your favorite Slipknot songs with shittier vocals and Corey Taylor occasionally trying to hype up the audience in between songs with statements with "fuck", "fucking", and "motherfucker" thrown around for no real reason. I swear a whole fuckin' lot, yeah, but can we stop with this whole "ARE Y'ALL HAVIN' SOME FUCKIN' FUN TONIGHT? HELL YEAH YOU MOTHERFUCKERS ARE" type shit? Joey Jordison sounds pretty on-point the entire show with his drumming, but there is just so much taken away when you can't see the nine maniacs freaking out on stage that there's really no reason to listen to this when you could just break out your copies of the self-titled and "Iowa" instead, but hey: At least this is from before Corey Taylor changed his vocal style to yelling thing, right?! I mean, yeah, it shows up in a few places on here, but still.. Ya gotta take what you can get.
