Fat Nick & Pouya - Drop Out of School (2017)
Fat Nick and Pouya both actually dropped out of school back in the day to sell drugs, rap, all that good shit, and they had a show on YouTube called "The Nick & Pouya Show", so they've been good friends since their teenage years, and yeah, they have good musical chemistry because of it, especially since it sounds like they grab their musical influences from the exact same sources, but let it be known.. This is more like a Fat Nick album where Pouya occasionally shows up. Let me explain: When Fat Nick is given a verse, that's fine, yeah, but he does the hooks on -most- of the songs on here, and they repeat constantly, so what you're basically hearing the entire album is some okay but non-memorable trap beats, Fat Nick dropping a verse, a hook that sounds completely interchangeable with most of his hooks and goes on far too long, Pouya rearing his head in to say "YUH, YUH" and repeat. It's far from the worst shit you'll ever hear, but what the fuck? "Middle of the Mall" is easily the best track on here, but that still ain't saying a terrible lot.
