"This album is fuckin' noise." - My dumbass self in 2010 when this dropped. Oh, to be young and dumb again..

"Fuck you, Gil Sharone! You starred in an episode of "Full House" back in the day and I don't fuckin' like that shit!!" guitarist Ben Weinman screeched before kicking him into a black hole, which he then reached into and pulled out new drummer Billy Rymer, who kicks ass just as much as everyone before! Disregarding the new line-up change, as much as I love this band, I don't really have too much to say about this album. It pains me to say this, but on this release, this band (one of my FAVORITES) isn't really doing anything new. Most of the songs sound like leftovers from "Ire Works" which was a great album, and none of the songs on this album are even slightly bad at all, don't get me wrong, but something just feels like it's missing. Sure, there are some great songs like "Widower", "Parasitic Twins", and the beautiful "Chuck McChip" (seriously, that song is fuckin' GORGEOUS), and there's plenty of fat slabs of mathcore ("Good Neighbor".. Holy shit!!) to be found on this album to help feed the riff-hungry, but while I really like some of the songs on here, it doesn't really ever reach the same heights that "Ire Works", the album before this, did. If you like "Ire Works", then be sure to pick this one because it's arguably more consistent when it comes to the mathcore edge, and there's still the cool sung choruses that you dig because Greg Puciato is fuckin' awesome, but don't expect too much more than what's being offered here: A lean, mean, scream-machine. That was cheesy as fuck but I had to continue the rhyme, y'know?

7/10
