All Time Low - MTV Unplugged (2010)

All Time Low, MTV Unplugged, Weightless, Dear Maria Count Me In, Damned If I Do Ya, acoustic, Jack Barakat, Alex Gaskarth
The -two- guys in the crowd on the album cover look so "fuck, why did my girlfriend drag me to this shit".. Makes you wonder why they included them for the album cover.

All Time Low, MTV Unplugged, Weightless, Dear Maria Count Me In, Damned If I Do Ya, acoustic, Jack Barakat, Alex Gaskarth

Man, these guys sure can write a catchy tune when they're in the studio, but when you translate that to a live acoustic setting, suddenly all of the songs lose pretty much everything appealing about them as they're transformed into bland coffee shop renditions, and fade away into just being background music, rather than being a different and entertaining at the songs you know and probably love. Sure, it sounds more -real- than their previous live album ("Live Session") but perhaps that's what helps work AGAINST this recording: No one in the band is even close to being -great- at what they do, they just write some good, catchy songs that your highschool band could've performed at a talent show, and when you break that down to an even simpler format (these acoustic renditions) it almost becomes insulting how simple some of these songs are and how uneventful they can be without all of the studio magic. Man, pass on this even if you write Alex Gaskarth/Jack Barakat erotica, it just ain't good.
