Is the title of this album a reference to the film "Predator"? Oh, that was a good movie that I never saw. Thanks Google!!

If "The Cleansing" was about cleansing the earth of whatever Mitch Lucker disliked, then this album oughta be called "The Jonesing" because of how many lyrics are about drug use. I mean, come on, since Mitch Lucker was a straight-edge dude for a while, some of the lyrics on this album are just almost hilarious! The opening track "Wake Up" served as the alarm ringtone for one of your highschool classmates to get up in the morning (i.e. "I only wake up when Mitch Lucker tells me to wake up <3") and also to KICK YOUR ASS while talking about someone having a really fucking terrible time tripping on LSD. That coupled with the BADASS lil' tune "Smoke" which is the first and only deathcore song I've heard praising the act of smoking weed, so it's the swoopy-hair equivalent of "SMOKE WEED ERRYDAAAAYYY", and it's just funny to a guy like me, and "a guy like me" meaning a guy who's pretty easily amused by straight-edgers breaking edge, pictures of cats, and videos of terrible shit on LiveLeak, but HEY! If the track "...And Then She Bled" is anything to go by, with how they took the audio of a 911 phone call in which a woman got her face ripped off by a monkey and adding some deathcore riffage to it (spooky!) then they're probably into watching fucked up shit on LiveLeak too.

This album sounds a lot better than the last album did production-wise, especially with the drums sounding particularly crisp at times, and that really helps make songs like all the ones I listed, plus "Suffer" and the title-track really jump out at you like the monkey that ripped that girl's face off, but then you get closer and closer to the end of the album and it all begins to blur, much like the vision of the girl who got her face ripped off and also much like before, it feels like Suicide Silence puts their best tracks first and then thinks of the latter half as unimportant, or hey, maybe that's some musical monotony in itself, but it sounds good and if you're looking to listen to deathcore, I doubt you're looking for much more than what you'll find here, so HEY! Turn this on and stuff. Wanted a punchline? What about a STABLINE YOU PIECE OF FUCKING SHIT *STABSTABSTAB*

7/10
